Contact Information
So, you have decided that you'd like to send me a
message. Before you do, please read the following types of messages that I
get, and the style of response that you should expect. This will help
you understand whether or not you will get what you expect from sending me a
message. My e-mail address is below.
I love you website, keep up the good work.
I appreciate such messages, and they encourage me to continue writing.
Your website is horrible. You are a bad Christian, bad person,
furthering the cause of evil, etc.
Such messages are not helpful, and will not influence me,
except to sadden me because of the hatred that the writer feels, and the damage
that the hatred is doing to the writer. If Jesus
could handle being crucified, I can handle a few insults.
I have this theory that I'd like you to read.
I will read it, and I will comment on it, but you might not like what you
hear. If I disagree with a theory, I will tell you so clearly and
explicitly and I will not tiptoe around the issues. This way, we can find
the root of the disagreement as quickly as possible and then see if some
agreement can be reached. I believe that this is the way that we can
maximize our ability to learn from each other, which should be the reason that
you e-mailed me.
Please read this website, and comment.
You should not, in general, expect detailed
comments to very long web sites. I will read a bit here, a bit there, and
then make up my mind and let you know what I think.
You have a typo, miss spelling, or broken link.
I appreciate such messages. I have found enough of my own typos to know
that more remain.
I like your website, but one of your pages is badly argued, has false
premises, or leads to a
false conclusion.
These are the types of messages that I appreciate the most. The primary
purpose of making my e-mail address available is so that I can improve the
website, with your assistance.
I have a question about some topic not on your website.
I do not mind such questions. However, the quality
of my answers will vary based on how much I know about the particular
topic. In many cases, questions will encourage me to research a topic
enough so that I can add it to the site.
